The GREENER project started with an online Kick-off meeting on 17 December 2020. From that moment, partners gathered online on a monthly basis to discuss the next project steps and share views. They also launched the project website and published the Communication and the Dissemination Plan.
Moreover, partners started working on the first project outcome: the development of the skills framework for professionals in circular/strategic procurement. As a first step towards its development, GREENER partners carried out interviews with public authorities and companies (mainly SMEs) in the four countries covered by the project: Belgium, Bulgaria, Italy, and Spain. In total 28 interviews were expected to be carried out.
The goal of these interviews is to identify the public administration and companies’ skills gap and the barriers which hamper the diffusion of circular and green public procurement. The results of the interviews will help in tailoring the future material for capacity building, and identifying a common skills framework. In addition to the interviews, partners also launched an on-line survey addressed to companies to complement the feedback provided during the in-depth interviews.
