Cleantech Bulgaria is leading innovation support organization in Bulgaria. We work in various directions, supporting the public and private sectors in the process of green and digital transition. In our capacity of coordinator of #GREENER_project funded under ERASMUS+ program we work towards integration of Green Public Procurement (GPP) through enriching SMEs knowledge, skills, and awareness. The consortium partners from Cleantech Bulgaria (CTBG), Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource management (ACR+), Sistemi Formativi Confindustria (SFC), Bulgarian Consultancy Organization (BCO), Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies (SSSA) and Technological Centre of Furniture and Wood of the Region of Murcia (CETEM) have already defined skills framework for “Greener procurer” profile and are actively working on creation of modular training to support experts from public and private organisations in working with GPP.
We discovered lack of knowledge in the areas of Circular Procurement, Green Deal, European legislation, not enough information for good practices from European countries, weak connection with public authorities. Once defined the needs, the next step of GREENER project is to elaborate modular training course corresponding to the new emerging skills.
The webinar “Could mandatory circular procurement drive the European Circular Economy Action Plan?” comes as answer to the above-described needs, creates synergies with our main goal – to accelerate the participation in GPP. It is a good opportunity for SMEs to rise their confidence and fill in some of the existing gaps related to circular and green procurement policies.
On 25 November 2021, 10:00-12:00 CET, the ECESP (European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform) Leadership Group is organizing a webinar #EUCircularTalks on circular procurement. The debate will center on the policies to drive circular procurement, thereby accelerating the transition to a circular economy within the EU.
From policy levels varying from the European Commission down to cities, speakers will share their experiences with circular and green procurement policies. They will set the stage for an interactive dialogue.
