The Circular Procurement Summit was hold in November. An online event, organized by the Circular Procurement Council, to engage the intersection of public and private sector interests to achieve and accelerate circularity.
CETEM participated as speaker in the conference on furniture and office procurement, where the different aspects to engage the furniture sector in circular activities was presented, and how public procurement could act as driver for sustainability.
During the event it was highlighted how the furniture sector is willing to engage in the circular transition, and the opportunity that public procurement presents to act as driver of this transition. Several best practices and examples were presented, thanks to the participation of the city of Malmö (Sweden) and Rype Office, a remanufactured office furniture company.
Finally, CETEM had the opportunity to introduce GREENER project to all attendants, as a key project to foster Circular Public Procurement among SMEs, explaining the research done to identify knowledge need among the industry and the expected toolbox to be launched next year.
