ACR+, connecting actors aiming at achieving sustainable resource consumption

The Association of Cities and Regions for sustainable Resource Management (ACR+) is an international network whose members share the common goal of sustainable resource consumption and waste management through prevention, reuse and recycling. ACR+ gathers members whose common goal is to reach sustainable resource consumption and waste management through prevention, reuse and recycling. The 100+ members of ACR+ are mainly local and regional authorities and national networks of local authorities representing about 1400 municipalities and present in 25 countries. ACR+ also welcomes other key players in the sustainable resource-product-waste management field, such as NGOs, academic institutions or private organizations, as partner members.

ACR+ is engaged in several projects aiming at increasing the capacity-building and knowledge of its members either by the collection and analysis of existing data or by the research and presentation of innovative views and solutions. On Public procurement, apart from GREENER, ACR+ is also partner in the ProCirc project on Circular Public Procurement and BRINC on Public Procurement of Innovation.

In GREENER, ACR+ is responsible for the communication and dissemination activities including building an audience for receiving news and updates on a regular basis through social media, preparation of newsletters and press releases or the organization of events, among others. ACR+ is also in charge of developing the toolbox for the development of I/C-VET to help companies successfully apply for tenders that incorporate Circular Public Procurement (CPP) and Green Public Procurement (GPP) requirements.
